I have a New Project:
Recently, my grandmother was staying at our house and spent her time during the days sorting through 14 years worth of photographs so that she could start to finally put them in albums, scrapbooks and folders. Clearly, after 14 years of accumulation, there were a lot of surplus photographs - ones she didn't like, had duplicates of, had strangers in them, were from a holiday no one cared about. She passed on the ones she didn't need to me and I chose a stack that I quite liked, was intrigued by, or found entertaining.
Hoarder that I am, I asked to keep them despite having no real use for them. So, after she had gone, I was left with around 30 photographs of people I didn't know standing around in sun hats or sitting on boats. Realistically, I was never going to use these photos, as much as I like them, so I thought I'd put them to use, spreading some unexpectedness and curiosity around the place.
The idea is that I will post a picture of the photo with the message on the back, and say when and where I left it, without giving the exact location. Then, if someone finds it, they can come and comment and say when they found it and whether or not they liked it... They don't have to like it. I don't mind either way really, but it certainly brightens up a rainy Easter break full of revision and little else.
I only have limited photos so this project is unlikely to last long, but I thought I'd have a go and see where I end up.
So, the first photo bomb will probably be up a little later.
I've signed off SP on all of them, standing for Some Person...
Yours,
Emily/SP
